This home resulted from an extensive addition and renovation to an existing single story bungalow in Mission Hills. The small existing bungalow was cut in half, with the rear half removed, effectively leaving only the front facade of the old house. An extensive addition was added in the back as well as a complete new second story.

The extensive use of wood, both interior and exterior, allowed Thomas J. Taylor Construction to showcase our strength in finish carpentry and mill work.

The variety of materials used in the project, painted and stained wood, plank stone flooring (imported from France), oak flooring, granite slab and decorative ceramic tiles, was also a challenge during construction.
